Nepal is a small landlocked country between India and China on the opposite side of the world from the San Francisco Bay Area. Our fligh left San Francisco just before midnight on Thursday, March 8th, 2001, and landed in Hong Kong fifteen and a half hours later. The layover in Hong Kong was ten hours, followed by another five and a half hour flight to Kathmandu, Nepal. Individual members of the original group returned on different dates between 3 and 4 weeks later.
